After completing the initial admission requirements (application, entrance exam, interview, and document verification), newly admitted students and often their parents are usually invited to attend an orientation and briefing session before classes begin. This orientation is designed to help students transition smoothly into campus life, understand academic expectations, and become familiar with the school’s mission and policies.
Welcome and Introduction
A formal welcome by school administrators or faculty to congratulate new students on their acceptance and introduce them to the school environment.
Presentation of Vision, Mission, and Values
A session that explains the school’s Salesian Catholic identity, core values, and what the institution expects from its students.
Academic Policies and Procedures
Briefing on grading systems, class schedules, curriculum structure, academic requirements, and other important academic information so students know how to succeed. (Similar to orientation content in other Don Bosco colleges)
Student Support Services
Information about guidance counseling, student services, libraries, online portals, communication channels, and where students can get help.
Campus Facilities and Protocol
Overview of important locations like clinics, registrar’s office, student affairs, and rules for campus use.
Expectations & Code of Conduct
A rundown of behaviour policies, attendance rules, discipline guidelines, and the Salesian preventive approach to education.
Q&A Session
Time for students (and sometimes parents) to ask questions and clarify anything about the upcoming academic year.
Community Building Activities
Some orientation programs include icebreakers, team-building activities, or sessions to promote peer bonding before classes start. (This is common in induction/weeks in other Don Bosco campuses)
